We had such a blast discussing crazy things and gossip! What was supposed to be a come back [announcement] show and all about him...ended up being another silly evening which we used to bash and gossip about Hollywood, going cold turkey- yea- good luck with that!! How many time have you tried to quite- anything- cold turkey! And going to the Oscars! well....Aaaaalthough Tim offered to take me :( it was only [in our DREAMS]! wa!
Topics we managed to discuss
- One of the more serious was pertaining to [couple/spousal] abuse: National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1−800−799−SAFE(7233) Abuse by any one is NOT a joke regardless of the fact that we may have been kidding around about it. If you or someone you know is in a relationship that maybe abusive- seek help right away and get away from the situation!
- Not that ANYONE should tell anyone who they can or can not marry --- though the government claims we're free, on top of other things they tell us we can't do that should be a [personal choice]/right, they make these laws that are [beyond] unfair to some groups---- Well they have been gracious enough to "allow" the people who desire, Marlyland makes it legal to marry the love of your life: MD+Gay marriage.
-The death, OTHER than Whitney, that I was talking about was that of the Grandpa (NOT wizard) from Charley and the Chocolate Factory, David Kelly. The 82 year old [Irish] actor had been around Theater and film for 50 years, appearing in many different roles throughout his career. He was in an Irish mini series along side Peter O'Tolle, and regular on the British sitcom "Robin's Nest". He also had notable roles in TV shows "Emerald Farm" and[ the book to movie] "Stardust" as the guard. I didn't know that much about him obviously, but I always thought he was such a cute old man in C&TCF. The quintessential grandpa.
RIP David Kelly. Sorry no one else cared enough to [gloriously] announce your passing, I was sad when I heard.
