Andi says she THINKS the last time she paid any attention was 6, maybe 7, years ago? We haven't even tried to count how many years it's been since the rest of us have tuned in. For Andi it would have been 2006. We all probably stopped watching it about the same time. Once you hit 23/24+ it's just not the same.
Backstreet Boys, Beck, Christina Aguilera & AFI were still "it". There was no Katy Perry, Selena Gomez or Demi Lovato. No Drake, One Direction or Bieber. The last few years in music has been.. off putting [to some of us.. cough-ANDI-cough]. We have mainly been focusing on EDM styles of music. You know, the stuff we play. That kind of music has, in the last year, become more mainstream. Thanks to the likes of Guetta, Skrillex, Wolfgang Gartner and yes... even Britney Spears. [she was the first pop-tart to jump on the dub-step band wagon and made it "popular"]
We are all music snobs to an extent. We all have our prefenses of course, and we look forward to sharing them and seeing what goes down! We decided that it'd be a blast to reminisce on a special broadcast DURING the WHOLE show [or until Andi decides to break the TV]. We have a game planned for during the actual ceremony! ANDI UPDATE:
We wont be on during the WHOLE VMAs as we have just been confirmed to go to an awesome event and will be doing that the rest of the evening BUT we will still be doing stuff and stuff.. so yea.... :) It's still gonna be awesome! So join us!! <3
