YIKES! Poor North East And New England are said to be getting smashed by this super snow storm [Nemo] headed their way! Doomsday preppers will be laughing in their neighbors' faces as they scramble to prepare for this monster! Residents in have already been dealing with the steady snow fall and rush to prepare for the several days, potentially weeks they will be snowed in. The southern states being affected will likely see only a few inchies while the hardest hit ones may get as much as 3 feet! Sadly, sandy sufferers will likely be seeing more flooding in the areas as well :( Poor people! I have 3 couches and lots of floor space if anyone needs!! ;) Good luck and stay safe!!

One "spacey" thing that MAY affect us [but is highly unlikely] is the Solar Storm that will occur because of a flare that has been ejected from the sun [solar flare]. Scientist have said NOT to panic because they believe it wont impact us enough to do any harm. We WILL be able to witness tonight [around dusk] and on the 11, & 15th, the rarely seen Mercury and Mars close together!
Next week, February 15th 2:45 PM EST, we are expecting a comet that is headed towards us! It's luckily not going to hit or affect us at all. Experts can't seem to decide if it is careening towards one of our satellites or if it will harmlessly pass between the two "layers" of satellites. Sadly we wont be able to see it, but people in Australia to Europe will be able to with telescopes! It's 15 stories tall but apparently one the [apx.] the same size hits the earth every 4 decades! There's no worry about an impact with earth so anyone saying the end is here is just ignorant.

Despite the small size of this one, if one [of the same size] hit, the energy it would emit would be equivalent of 2.4 million tons of TNT and would wipe out 750 sq miles!! The same thing [almost] happend in 1908 in Siberia. Forest land around the Tunguska River was flatten because of the residual effects due to the impact of a smaller asteroid!
